The Raptors want rookie forward DeMar DeRozan to earn a starting role, but injures may hand him the spot. "I would love to not start DeMar; the position isn't given to him, and right now, just due to injuries, it's his by default and I want him to earn that spot," coach Jay Triano told the Toronto Star. "Has he done enough yet? Maybe, but that should be a fight for him every single day, that's what's going to make him better," the coach added. Antoine Wright's swollen knee has kept him off the court. "I want Antoine to come back so that when DeMar makes a mistake I don't have to tell him about it (on the fly), I can sit him down and tell him about it," Triano said. |
