Deng Almost 100%, But Won't Play For Britain

Luol Deng has confirmed that he won't play for Great Britain this summer, but claims that he's getting close to full speed.

Deng was limited to 49 games with the Bulls last season because of a stress fracture in his right shin.

"It's a very tough decision not being able to play, but it was just a tough year last year with my injury," Deng said. "The fracture of my leg was such a serious injury that I need all summer in order to go full speed and I'm not full speed yet, but I'm almost there. Right now, it's the right decision, hopefully it will come out as a small sacrifice for my future with the Bulls and my future playing with GB."

Deng is the leader of Great Britain's team and London is the host city for the 2012 Olympics.

He claims he'll be fully ready for the start of the season, with the Bulls opening camp in September.

"With the pace I'm going right now, I should be healthy enough to play in training camp and in the season," Deng told The Chicago Sun-Times. "I'm just not 100 percent right now, but I am able to put more pressure on my foot, which I wasn't during last season."

Bulls Would Push Tyrus In Sign-And-Trade Of Lee?

The Knicks were hoping to get Nate Robinson and David Lee signed at the same time and that is still a possibility if Lee is willing to agree to a one-year deal worth between $7 and $8 million.

If Lee isn't signed, the Knicks will try to work out and sign and trade. The Bulls have always been high on Lee and may try to work out a deal. The Knicks like Kirk Hinrich but Chicago would likely push Tyrus Thomas.
