Carmelo Anthony is expected to announce his decision to re-sign with the New York Knicks on Thursday, barring a last minute change of heart. Anthony can sign a five-year, $129 million contract with the Knicks.

Anthony has reportedly been "agonizing" over his decision over the past week.

"He will have something for everybody on Thursday," said the friend who was with Anthony before Anthony's scheduled workout with Kevin Durant and Kevin Love in Los Angeles on Wednesday. "He is really torn because this is the biggest decision of his career. But he wants to get it done in New York. He told me he believes in Phil."

Anthony was intrigued by joining the Los Angeles Lakers, while he believed he would be joining a title contender if he signed with the Chicago Bulls.

Anthony is pleased with the addition of Jose Calderon and Phil Jackson will continue to pursue Pau Gasol once a decision is announced by Anthony.

Adrian Wojnarowski reports that Anthony can figure out his destination later should the Knicks not be able to build a contender around him.

No teams have been formally notified of a decision by Anthony.
