With an epic win in overtime over the league-leading San Antonio Spurs, sparked by a three pointer by guard Steve Nash with 0.6 seconds remaining in overtime, the Dallas Mavericks are now riding a 7 game winning streak.

Could owner Mark Cuban have something to do with that?  Marc Stein of the Dallas Morning News reports that Cuban has been sitting further away from the Dallas bench than normal, a move which he insists is not because he fears his notorious carping at referees was adversely affecting the club's treatment from game officials, writes Stein.

"The reason is I can't see as well from that close," the Mavericks' owner said.

You really shouldn't say it that loud Mark, otherwise those who buy the closest, most expensive seats may settle for seats a little further back, which means less money to.. um.. play around with, and we all know how you love to play.
