He's a 7-foot white guy with a crewcut and a reputation as a shot-blocker who the Jazz say was just too tall to pass up with the 19th pick in the NBA Draft on Wednesday night.

Are you thinking what I'm thinking?

Yeah, well, we're not the only ones.

Even owner Larry Miller cannot be sure that his team did the right thing in negotiating a trade to wind up with Stanford's Curtis Borchardt, a junior who bears enough of a similarity to veteran center Greg Ostertag to warrant the worry. And while nobody hopes for anything but the best for Ostertag when he goes into surgery today to donate a kidney to his ailing sister, nobody who cheers for the Jazz hopes that Borchardt follows the same frustrating career path, either.

"I'm not euphoric about it," Miller acknowledged. "I've been there before, and it hasn't worked out."
