A comment by Timberwolves teammate Kevin Garnett on Wednesday night sparked speculation that Terrell Brandon already has decided to retire, but an article by Steve Aschburner of the Star Tribune confirms that, according to Brandon himself, nothing yet is on the cards.

"From a basketball standpoint he let us know early on that it was pretty much a done deal," Garnett said. "We've all supported his decision."

"There's nothing brewing. Relax, there's nothing going on,
" said Brandon in response to Garnett's comments.

"[Garnett] is giving his opinion, and I respect his opinion. But until Kevin McHale and I say something, that's the way it is. I don't want people speculating all of a sudden because my captain made a comment. I'm sure he got asked and he has to answer the question."

However coach Flip Saunders seems to be leaning towards the side of Garnett, indicating there is no timetable for Brandon's return and throwing yet another spanner into the works.

"I'll say this: KG probably has a pretty good barometer as far as where the situation's at," Saunders said.
