Mike McGraw of the Daily Herald reports that there are three candidates to replace Jerry Krause in Chicago and none of them are name Michael Jordan.

B.J. Armstrong, Indiana Pacers assistant Jim Stack, and radio analyst John Paxson are the likely candidates according to McGraw.

Armstrong has served as a special assistant to Krause the past 3 years while Stack, who served under Krause the last 13 seasons, was supposed to be the successor in waiting, but left the Bulls last year to become an assistant coach for the Pacers.

"I think he has a real good idea of college talent," Paxson said of Armstrong on WMVP radio. "He knows the NBA real well. He's got a good presence about him. I think he's very capable of doing a job like that."

Paxson is unlikely to take the job because he would like to spend more time with his family and because his brother, Jim, is the GM for the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Miami's Randy Pfund and Toronto's Glen Grunwald may also become part of the picture should they fall out of favor with their respectie teams. Both are Chicago natives.
