So Michael Jordan is looking for work. Just so he doesn't submit his resume anywhere north of Gurnee Mills, everything will be fine.

Perhaps you recall several years ago when Jordan made overtures to the Milwaukee Bucks, pitching the same proposal to Herb Kohl that Abe Pollin eventually accepted with the Washington Wizards.

By leveraging little more than his famous name, Jordan got a piece of the professional basketball and hockey franchises in D.C., as well as the MCI Center. And when Pollin fired him Wednesday, Jordan left with a $10 million parachute.

Kohl rejected Jordan's offer to assume control of his basketball operations quicker than Jason Kidd dissects what passes for the Bucks' defense.
