ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) New Jersey activated Damone Brown and Tamar Slay from the injured list before the Nets played the Orlando Magic on Friday night.

To make room on the roster, Brandon Armstrong and Zoran Planinic were placed on the injury list.

Brown, a 6-foot-8 forward, hasn't played this season because of back spasms. Slay, a 6-8 guard, had 11 points in four games before going down last month with a strained right groin.

Planinic, the Nets' first-round draft pick this summer, averaged 2.5 points in 13 games. The 6-7 guard has a strained neck

Armstrong, a 6-4 guard, has a sprained ankle. He was averaging three points.
