Every NBA basketball fan is looking for answers to why the U.S. ?Dream Team? finished third in this summer?s Olympic Games.

Well it wasn?t for lack of heart or hustle; it was simply lack of skill.

The U.S. didn?t beat the U.S., Argentina beat the U.S.  This was done by superior passing and execution.  All the Argentines did was take a lead seven minutes into the game and hold it the rest of the way. They made 54 percent of their field goal tries and 50 percent of their three-point shots, while the Americans made 42 percent of their field goal tries, and just 27 percent of their three-point shots. Argentina recorded 18 assists to just 11 for the United States.

The game of basketball is changing, and the ?old-style? consisting of solid-fundamentals is making a comeback.  One must only look to the Olympics for proof.
