Jazz center Mehmet Okur missed his second straight game Friday and will undergo an MRI exam on his injured left shoulder Saturday in Salt Lake City.

Okur suffered the injury in the third quarter Tuesday against Portland, when center Joel Przybilla came down on his shoulder. The team called it a strained trapezius muscle.

The Jazz said they believe Okur sustained a strain or painful bruise, as opposed to a structural injury involving the rotator cuff or labrum. The MRI will be taken to rule out those possibilities.

"I want to be out there, even tonight," Okur said, "but I can't reach, can't move up and down. I can't imagine myself with contact inside, pushing each other."
