Jeff Fried, the agent for suspended Golden State guard Monta Ellis, hinted on Sunday night that his client will appeal a 30-game suspension that could cost him $3 million, according to a report by USA Today.

"We've previously evaluated Monta's options, and now that the team has taken a definitive position we will move aggressively in protecting Monta's rights," Fried said.

Ellis violated his contract for riding a moped, then admittedly lied about how he tore a ligament in his left ankle in an August crash weeks after he signed a six-year, $66 million contract.
