The Bucks and free agent John Salmons have agreed on the final terms of a five-year, $39 million deal, according to league sources.

The final year of the deal is only partially guaranteed, according to ESPN.com's Chad Ford.

Salmons exercised his player option to opt out of the final year of his contract last week.

Milwaukee was determined not to take a step back after earning the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference this season.
