Jazz coach Jerry Sloan doesn't often get involved in the recruiting process, but he's made it clear that he wants the club to re-sign forward Carlos Boozer.

"Sure, I'm hoping without a doubt," Sloan said Monday. "We're not as good of a team without him. And he helped us a great deal. It's hard to get good players."

Sloan said he made his feelings known to Utah general manager Kevin O'Connor when they met after the season.

"We all sat down and talked about what we'd like to do, and we'd like to have him back," Sloan said.
