Dwight Howard says he won't take part in another dunk contest during his career.

"I'm retired for life," Howard said of the annual All-Star Weekend event.

He won the event in 2008 and finished second to Nate Robinson in 2009.

"I don't want to do it," Howard said. "I want to let other people have an opportunity to shine. I (have done) the dunk contest too many times. I'm over with it."
