Washington point guard Abdul Gaddy will miss the rest of the regular season after tearing the ACL in his left knee.

"When something like that happens it's just tough," coach Lorenzo Romar said. "It's tough to sit there in front of him and the doctor and watch him hear the news that he's not going to play basketball anymore for this team this year."

Gaddy was injured in practice Tuesday when he planted on a drive to the basket.

"I got up and I was walking. I thought I was going to be able to miss a week or two and come back," Gaddy said.
