The Nuggets have no interest in acquiring O.J. Mayo, according to a source.
It was reported on Thursday that the Knicks have reached out to the Grizzlies about sending Mayo to Denver in a three-team deal that could ship Carmelo Anthony to New York.
The Knicks don't think Anthony will sign a contract extension with the Nets, giving them hope that they can swing a deal for the All-Star forward.
The Nets, Nuggets and Pistons are still engaged in talks on a 13-player deal that would send Anthony to New Jersey.
New York has tried to discuss a deal with Denver all season, but the Nuggets have been underwhelmed by what the Knicks have to offer, which has lead them to recruit a third team for a possible deal.
Sources also claim that Mayo, who has one year left on his contract, would not be happy with a trade to Denver.
