Gilberto Clavell of Sam Houston State was the winner of the Southland Player of the Year award.

Jeromie Hill of UTSA won Freshman of the Year honors.

Joining Clavell on the All-Southland First Team was Devin Gibson (UTSA), Anatoly Bose (Nicholls State), Patrick Richard (McNeese State) and Jereal Scott (Stephen F. Austin).
