Rasual Butler has reached agreement on a non-guaranteed contract with the Washington Wizards, a league source told RealGM.

A year ago, Butler played for the Indiana Pacers in the NBA summer league, signed a similar non-guaranteed contract with the organization and remained for the entire season. After failing to sign an NBA deal for 2012-13, the 6-foot-7 swingman with 11 seasons of NBA experience went through a training camp competition for a regular season roster position.

In 50 games for the Pacers last season, Butler averaged 2.7 points and 7.6 minutes while shooting 41.9 percent from three-point distance. He gradually became a focal voice within Indiana's young core.

Butler, 35, has also played for Miami, New Orleans, the Los Angeles Clippers, Chicago and Toronto over his career, averaging 7.8 points and 2.4 rebounds.

Butler was Miami's second round draft pick in 2002 out of La Salle.
