In order to continue his pursuit to the NBA out of the Development League, Austin’s Bryce Cotton has rejected overtures from teams in Italy, Turkey and Belgrade and has remained persistent in staying the course, sources told RealGM.

Cotton – a 40-point, 11-rebound, three-assist performer in Austin’s comeback win during the D-League showcase on Saturday – is under consideration for several NBA teams for a potential call up. Nevertheless, the 22-year-old remains without a deal.

After going unselected in last June’s NBA Draft, Cotton joined the San Antonio Spurs on a free-agent deal and went to summer league and training camp with them. He was waived out of camp in October and then entered the D-League with the Spurs’ affiliate.

Cotton is averaging 21 points, five rebounds and five assists in 23 games for the season.

Cotton played his college basketball at Providence as a sharpshooting, tough-minded player at six-feet tall. He averaged 21.8 points as a senior.
