The Golden State Warriors are optimistic Kevin Durant will return from his knee injury before the end of the regular season.

Durant is roughly at the halfway point of his recovery but the Warriors are encouraged by the progress he's made.

Durant suffered a sprained MCL and tibial bone bruise in his left knee on Feb. 28th.

An official update from the Warriors on Durant's progress is expected mid-to-late next week.

At the time Durant suffered the injuries, Golden State announced that he would be "out of action indefinitely" but added that "it has not been ruled out that he could play again before the end of the regular season."
