Dwyane Wade has won the job of starting shooting guard for the Cleveland Cavaliers and will replace J.R. Smith in the role.

"I just wanted to do it," Tyronn Lue explained.

Wade will join the Cavaliers' starting lineup of Derrick Rose, LeBron James, Jae Crowder and Kevin Love.

Smith joins Tristan Thompson in moving to a bench role.

Wade had opened up training camp playing a heavy dose of backup point guard in practice.
