Joe Dumars is expected to remain with the Sacramento Kings as an advisor, sources tell Shams Charania and Sam Amick of The Athletic. 

Dumars joined ownership of the Kings for interviews with their three finalists to run their front office. The Kings ultimately decided to hire Monte McNair.

Dumars was hired by the Kings after the 18-19 season.
