The Toronto Raptors and Dallas Mavericks have discussed the framework of a Kristaps Porzingis, according to front offices of rival teams that spoke with Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report.

Fischer adds that it is unclear how serious talks are at this point.

The Raptors have been linked to other big men such as Myles Turner.

The Mavericks, meanwhile, have interest in acquiring Goran Dragic. Dallas has been considered more likely to acquire Dragic if he's bought out after the deadline.

Porzingis signed a five-year, $158 million contract with the Mavericks during the 2019 offseason. Porzingis is due $33.8 million in 22-23 and $36 million in 23-24.

While Porzingis has had a more productive season in 21-22, he has continued to have injury issues.

Tim MacMahon of ESPN interjected that Dallas would seek "a lot more" from the Raptors than the Dragic plus pick package that has been shopped across the league.
