Reggie Jackson was in a dark place after his run with the Detroit Pistons ended. Jackson felt like his body was failing him, and he wasn't sure he wanted to keep playing. Now, he can't believe he's on the verge of an NBA title with the Denver Nuggets.

“No, I can’t believe I’m here now,” Jackson said. “Especially after Detroit, I wasn’t sure I wanted to play anymore and then being resurrected in LA. The build-up there, the fun there. Then being traded, it’s coming full circle.”

Jackson was ready to retire, as he dealt with persistent ankle injuries that kept him off the floor. Joining the LA Clippers with close friend Paul George helped Jackson find his love of the game again. And now he's come back home to the place where his military family finally settled in Colorado when he was in high school.
