The Los Angeles Clippers have given teams the impression that they are at the very least trying to gauge the trade value of Paul George and giving consideration to the possibility of actually trading him, sources tell Marc Stein of Substack.

George and Kawhi Leonard joined the Clippers in 2019. They reached the Western Conference Semifinals in 2020 and the Conference Finals in 2021, but injuries plagued them in 2022 and 2023. Both George and Leonard will soon be eligible for four-year contract extensions worth more than $200 million.

The Portland Trail Blazers and the Houston Rockets have been identified as potential trade candidates. The Blazers own the No. 3 pick, which they have been shopping in potential deals to improve the supporting cast around Lillard. Houston owns the No. 4 pick and they are motivated to accelerate their rebuild this offseason.
