Tari Eason is set to have season-ending surgery on his left leg, according to Ime Udoka.

Eason, who has played in only 22 games this season, has not appeared since January 1 due to a benign growth in his left shin bone.

"We thought rest and rehab, he could get over it that way, but every time he ramped up, the pain came right back. After seeing all the specialists and decision-makers, came to the decision that it's best to have surgery Monday," said Udoka.

Udoka added that the growth was a preexisting condition that Eason has been dealing with for some time.

Eason will be out four months following a bone graft on his shin.
