Nets' center Nenad Krstic, who will be a restricted free agent this summer, wants to remain in New Jersey, according to The Record.

Although his agent has confirmed that he wants to remain with the team, Krstic refuses to think about free agency down the stretch.

"We have 11 games left in the regular season, and we're trying to make the playoffs," Krstic said. "If I think about contract stuff, that's more stuff in my head. So I'm really trying to not think [about it]. It's really hard to not think about it. It's always there in my head"

He suffered the latest injury against the Bulls on Tuesday night.

"It's day to day. We'll re-evaluate to get a better read," Harris said.

He claims that it's not as bad as the sprain that caused him to miss games as a member of both the Mavericks and Nets earlier this season.

Jefferson: I Want To Finish Career With Nets

Mar 14, 2008 12:09 PM

Richard Jefferson hopes to remain a member of the New Jersey Nets for the duration of his career.

"For one, this is the only team I've ever been on, the only franchise I've ever been with, so there's a little bit of, I won't say loyalty, but there's a little bit of respect there," he said. "We've been through good times and bad times. It's been frustrating for everybody. But I've been here since it started, so that's pretty much all I've known.

"I think it's great to play for one team your entire career," he said. "I was probably close to being traded a few times. It's not like I don't understand the business part of it. But if it were possible and our team was competitive, I'd love to end my career as a New Jersey Net and be one of the few guys, especially in this day and age, that's been with one team their entire career.

"There aren't too many guys that have been with their team and have had as significant a role as I have had with this one, as long as I have."

Kidd: ''We Were On The Wrong Side Of The Hudson''

Mar 12, 2008 6:58 AM

Jason Kidd said that the success he and the Nets had in New Jersey did not receive the accolades that it should have because of how the team is overshadowed by the Knicks, the New York Post is reporting.

"We were on the wrong side of the Hudson," Kidd said.

"We were on the right side. If we were on the left side, I think things would have been funer. There would've been a lot more attention."

"The things we accomplished in that short amount of time would have been documented at a higher level. And unfortunately it wasn't. But we were still treated to a lot of things on the other side."
