"Hornets point guard Darrell Armstrong will stand trial Dec. 1 in Orlando, Fla., for felony battery on a police officer."

"Armstrong, also booked in July on a misdemeanor charge of resisting an officer without violence, was scheduled to go to trial Oct. 22. But the proceedings were delayed after the state attorney's office filed an appeal to challenge a circuit court ruling that threw out Armstrong's statement to police."

"New Orleans Hornets forward Jamal Mashburn had successful arthroscopic surgery Monday to remove loose particles in his right knee, the team said in a news release."

He is expected to miss 6-8 weeks.
