Luka Doncic will miss at least one game after injuring his ankle during practice.

Doncic will undergo an MRI on Friday morning. He reportedly stepped on another player's foot, sources told ESPN.

Doncic will miss Friday's game against the Rockets. He is also doubtful to play against the Hawks on Saturday.

The Memphis Grizzlies have continued to posture that they expect to receive a first round pick or Andre Iguodala before the trade deadline.

Some league executives suspect the Grizzlies have a fallback option from the Dallas Mavericks in the form of Courtney Lee and a 2020 second round pick from the Golden State Warriors.

Sources with the Mavericks have tried to refute that theory.

Dwight Powell underwent surgery to repair the rupture of his right Achilles tendon. The injury occurred in the first quarter of the Mavericks’ 110-107 loss to the L.A. Clippers on Jan. 21, 2020.

The surgery was performed by Dr. Bob Anderson in Green Bay, Wis.

Powell (6-10, 240) appeared in 40 games (37 starts) for the Mavericks this season with averages of 9.4 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 26.5 minutes per game.

The Dallas Mavericks announced that they have retired the No. 24 jersey as a tribute to Kobe Bryant.

Bryant was killed in a helicopter crash on Sunday.

"Kobe's legacy transcends basketball, and our organization has decided that the number 24 will never be worn by a Dallas Maverick," issued Mark Cuban in a statement. 

The Dallas Mavericks have agreed to trade Isaiah Roby to the Oklahoma City Thunder for Justin Patton and cash considerations.

Roby has yet to appear in an NBA game.

Patton appeared in five games with the Thunder.

The Dallas Mavericks have acquired Willie Cayley-Stein in a trade with the Golden State Warriors.

The Mavericks were looking for depth at center following the season-ending injury to Dwight Powell.

Cayley-Stein signed a two-year, $4.6 million deal with the Warriors in the offseason.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have rejected offers from the Dallas Mavericks for Robert Covington.

The Wolves have been believed to be open to trading Covington.

The Houston Rockets and Philadelphia 76ers have also been mentioned as interested in trading for Covington.

The Oklahoma City Thunder have received interest from multiple playoff teams in Danilo Gallinari, sources tell Kevin O'Connor of The Ringer.

The Dallas Mavericks and Philadelphia 76ers are two specific teams who have registered interest with the Thunder.

Gallinari will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason at the age of 31.

The Thunder are on pace to be a playoff team, which will almost certainly impact what they would need to receive in return for Gallinari. 

The Dallas Mavericks are in contact with Joakim Noah as they look for depth at the center position, league sources told Tim MacMahon of ESPN.

The team announced that Dwight Powell tore his Achilles' earlier in the day.

The Mavs are reportedly concerned with Noah's health. Noah played 42 games for the Grizzlies last season.

The Mavs are also considering G League and overseas players to fill the position.
