The Oklahoma City Thunder are hiring Mike Miller as an assistant coach on the staff of Mark Daigneault.
Miller finished the 19-20 season as interim head coach of the New York Knicks.
Miller was head coach of the Westchester Knicks from 2015 until 2019.
Frank Jackson has agreed to sign with the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Jackson was drafted 31st overall by the New Orleans Pelicans in 2017.
Jackson appeared in 120 games with the Pelicans over two seasons, averaging 7.2 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 13.5 minutes.
New Orleans waived Jackson last week.
The Indiana Pacers are trading TJ Leaf and a second-round pick to the Oklahoma City Thunder, sources told Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
The Pacers will receive Jalen Lecque in return.
Leaf was the 18th pick in the 2017 draft.
The Oklahoma City Thunder will receive George Hill, Darius Miller and a 2023 first round pick originating from the Denver Nuggets as well as second round picks in 2023 and 2024 as part of a four-team trade in which they're sending Steven Adams to the New Orleans Pelicans.
Miller will have his $7 million salary guaranteed to facilitate the trade. Miller suffered a ruptured Achilles in August of 2019.
Oklahoma City's trade of Adams is being folded into the Jrue Holiday deal involving the Pelicans and Milwaukee Bucks.
The Thunder will receive Charlotte's 2023 second round pick and Washingotn's 2024 second round pick.
The Oklahoma City Thunder have agreed to trade James Johnson to the Dallas Mavericks with Delon Wright being sent to the Detroit Pistons. The Thunder will acquire Trevor Ariza and draft pick compensation.
Johnson was acquired from the Minnesota Timberwolves as part of the Ricky Rubio trade. Johnson is on an expiring contract worth approximately $16 million. The deal will create additional cap space for the Mavericks in 2021.
The Mavericks signed Wright to a three-year, $29 million contract last offseason.
The New Orleans Pelicans and Oklahoma City Thunder are finalizing a trade centered on Steven Adams. The Pelicans will send a 2023 lottery protected first round pick they recently received from the Denver Nuggets to the Thunder, as well as two future second round picks.
Adams is entering the final season of a four-year, $100 million extension with the Thunder in 2016.
The Pelicans lost Derrick Favors in free agency on Friday while Oklahoma City traded for Al Horford.
Royce Young of ESPN reports that the Pelicans tried to trade for Adams during the 2019 offseason after the Thunder traded away Paul George and Russell Westbrook.
Danilo Gallinari will sign a three-year, $61.5 million deal with the Atlanta Hawks.
Gallinari spent last season with the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Gallinari also is believed to have received interest from the Dallas Mavericks.
The Los Angeles Clippers signed Gallinari to a three-year, $65 million deal in 2017.
The Golden State Warriors and Oklahoma City Thunder are finalizing a deal of Kelly Oubre Jr. for a protected 2021 first round pick. The pick will convey if the Warriors finish 21-to-30 in the final regular standings. If the pick is in the top-20, the Warriors will instead send two second round picks.
The Warriors have a $17.2 million traded player exception they can use to acquire Oubre and his $14.4 million salary. With the Warriors using the TPE to acquire Oubre, their luxury tax bill will increase by $68 million.
