Lonzo Ball is considering working out for the Philadelphia 76ers.
Philadelphia owns the third overall pick, directly behind the Los Angeles Lakers, who are Ball's preferred choice.
A final decision will be made once Ball's agent, Harrison Gaines, and Sixers general manager Bryan Colangelo have had an extensive conversation centered on the identity of the team.
Ben Simmons is expected to play the role of primary ballhandler for the 76ers, which is a concern for Ball as a point guard.
Danny Ainge recently said Ball had declined to work out for them for a chance to be selected No. 1 overall by the Boston Celtics.
The Brooklyn Nets, New York Knicks and Philadelphia 76ers all have interest in J.J. Redick in free agency.
While the Los Angeles Clippers have interest in re-signing Redick, media reports have consistently indicated he's their free agent most likely to sign elsewhere.
The 76ers are the team said to be most interested in Redick.
“Brooklyn, the Knicks are teams that have interest in Redick. We'll see how far they're willing to pay,” said Adrian Wojnarowski.
Redick has been connected to the Knicks with the possibility of the Clippers revisiting trade talks for Carmelo Anthony.
Ben Simmons is unlikely to play for the Philadelphia 76ers in Summer League.
“I believe that he won’t play in summer league,” said Brett Brown.
Simmons missed the entire 16-17 season due to a foot fracture.
Simmons underwent surgery in the preseason and was ruled out for the season in February.
Markelle Fultz is expected to be the first or second pick in the June draft.
Fultz is interviewing at the combine with the Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Lakers, Philadelphia 76ers, Sacramento Kings and New York Knicks.
Fultz is one of the only top projected picks to attend the pre-draft combine in Chicago.
Fultz spent one season at Washington and didn't reach the tournament.
Joel Embiid will represent the Philadelphia 76ers at the lottery next week.
Embiid emerged as the face of the franchise this season after missing the 14-15 and 15-16 seasons due to injury.
The 76ers finished the regular season with the fourth-worst record in the NBA.
Philadelphia could also acquire the first round pick of the Los Angeles Lakers if it falls out of the top-3, and also swap with the Sacramento Kings.
The 76ers could end up with a scenario where they drafted first overall and fourth overall.
