Roy Hibbert, Joakim Noah, DeMar DeRozan, Joe Johnson, Paul Millsap and John Wall have been selected to the 2014 All-Star Game as Eastern Conference reserves.

Tony Parker, Damian Lillard, LaMarcus Aldridge, Dirk Nowitzki, James Harden, Chris Paul and Dwight Howard were named as Western Conference reserves.

Lance Stephenson, Kyle Lowry, Goran Dragic, Anthony Davis, DeMarcus Cousins, DeAndre Jordan, Mike Conley, Arron Afflalo and Tim Duncan were not voted to the game.

The Golden State Warriors passed on a possible trade acquiring Kyle Lowry from the Toronto Raptors, according to a source.

The Warriors reportedly declined a deal due to concerns about Lowry's ability to fit into the locker room.

NBA executives are conflicted about who would fit the Warriors best, Andre Miller or Kirk Hinrich, both of whom have been linked to the team.

The Toronto Raptors have had a far better than expected season and the sale of MLSE to Rogers and Bell 16 months ago seemingly will help sustain the success moving forward.

“We made some bold statements when I got here, and some of them are coming true, starting with TFC,” MLSE president and chief executive officer Tim Leiweke said on Tim and Sid on Sportsnet 590 The Fan Monday. “I don’t know how you can be great and aspired to be great if you don’t have high standards and goals.”

Toronto FC introduced several expensive soccer players on Monday, which is a good sign for how MLSE will also spend for the Raptors and Toronto Maple Leafs.

“We’re not afraid of the luxury tax at the right time,” said Leiweke. “These owners are in it to win.”

The Toronto Raptors have recalled Dwight Buycks from the Bakersfield Jam of the NBA Development League.

Buycks was assigned to the Jam on December 3. He appeared in five games, averaging 12.4 points, 4.0 assists and 26.4 minutes. He posted highs of 19 points in his debut January 4 against Los Angeles and five assists January 5 versus Sioux Falls.

With the Toronto Raptors playing excellent basketball, they have pulled Kyle Lowry from trade conversations.

The Raptors' management is confident that they have a chance of signing Lowry long-term in the offseason.

The Raptors could readdress the situation if they fall in the standings before the deadline, but the front office remains confident.

“But that won’t happen,” said the source said confidently. “We’re winning this.”

The Toronto Raptors have won 10 of 14 games, which has caught the attention of former franchise player Chris Bosh.

“I think the perception will always be the same, which is they’re a team which is North of the border,” said Bosh.

“But, recently with their play, they’re trying to turn things around, they’re trying to make sure they’re a good team and they’re playing very good basketball, they’re playing together.”

Bosh also had positive words to say about Jonas Valanciunas.

The Toronto Raptors have assigned guard Dwight Buycks to the Bakersfield Jam of the NBA Development League.

Buycks will continue to be included on the Raptors’ roster and will be placed on the team’s inactive list.

Buycks has appeared in 12 games for the Raptors this season recording 41 points, 10 assists, 20 rebounds and six steals in 121 minutes. He posted a season-best 10 points, five rebounds, three assists and three steals Dec. 10 versus San Antonio.

This will be Buycks’ second stint in the NBA D-League.
