Kyle Lowry has announced on Instagram he has withdrawn from Team USA for the 2019 World Cup.

Lowry underwent surgery on his injured thumb this offseason, but he had hoped to be cleared to play in the tournament.

Team USA will feature Kemba Walker and De'Aaron Fox at point guard.

The Los Angeles Clippers will hire Jeremy Castleberry as an assistant coach.

Castleberry is a close friend to Kawhi Leonard.

Castleberry followed Leonard from the San Antonio Spurs to the Toronto Raptors last season.

The NBA will announces its complete 19-20 regular season schedule on August, 12 at 3:00 PM ET.

The announcement will also include its entire national television telecast schedule.

The Toronto Raptors will receive their championship rings to open the season against the New Orleans Pelicans, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

October 22nd is the expected date of NBA opening night, league sources told Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Opening night fixtures include the Lakers vs. the Clippers, and the Raptors vs. the Pelicans. 

Jordan Loyd was waived by the Toronto Raptors.

The 26-year-old Loyd, who played 12 games for the Raptors last season, was about to enter the second year of a two-year deal.

Loyd is reportedly seeking a deal in Europe. 

The Los Angeles Lakers will play the Los Angeles Clippers on Christmas Day, league sources told Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Other games on Christmas include the Rockets at the Warriors, Pelicans at the Nuggets, Celtics at the Raptors, and Bucks at the 76ers.
