LeBron Says He Would Have Played At Ohio State If He Attended College

Sep 30, 2013 11:29 AM

LeBron James led the Ohio State football team into the pep rally on Saturday and Urban Meyer introduced the Miami Heat's star to mostly cheers.

Speaking to students at the rally, James said he would have played at Ohio State University if he decided to play one season of college basketball instead of entering the NBA straight out of high school in 2003.

"I promise, I say this all the time -- if I had one year of college, I would have ended up here," James said. "No matter where I go in the world, no matter where it is, I will always rock Ohio State colors."

Earlier this month, Ohio State unveiled a special locker dedicated to James inside the Schottenstein Center, where the basketball team plays its home games.

Krzyzewski Opposed To Exceptions In Transfer Process

Sep 16, 2013 12:25 PM

Mike Krzyzewski is displeased with the number of transfer waivers in recent years.

"There should be no exceptions," Krzyzewski told ESPN.com. "Everybody should have to sit out, that includes a fifth-year player, just to make it equal. I think it's a farce, really."

Krzyzewski would like to see the entire process eliminated, but he would like consistency in the rule as long as it is in place.

"Giving certain kids the right to play and others not the right to play, it should be done the same," he said. "If they want to let everybody play right away, then let everybody play right away. Everybody should be treated the same. I don't understand why there are exceptions to this rule."
