Oscar Tshiebwe To Have 'Minor' Knee Procedure

Oscar Tshiebwe is set to undergo a "minor" knee procedure, tweeted Kentucky coach John Calipari.

The 6-foot-9 forward was the consensus National Player of the Year last season.

Calipari did not a timetable for Tshiebwe's return.

Kentucky opens its season on November 7 against Howard.

Villanova freshman Cam Whitmore is set to undergo surgery on his thumb after injuring it in practice on Wednesday.

The surgery is scheduled for next week.

Whitmore was ranked No. 21 in ESPN's 100 for the class of 2022.

The small forward is currently projected as the No. 5 pick in ESPN's latest 2023 mock draft.

Chance Westry Out 3-4 Weeks Following Knee Surgery

Auburn freshman Chance Westry will miss the next 3-4 weeks after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery.

Westry, ranked No. 36 in ESPN's 100 for the 2022 class, could potentially return by Auburn's opener on November 7. 

Auburn coach Bruce Pearl also underwent the same surgery, and will return on Monday.
