The Melbourne Tigers have released Patty Mills from his contract effective immediately, allowing him to sign with Chinese club Xinjiang Guanghui Flying Tigers. 

Tigers CEO Seamus McPeake explained that the Tigers policy is not to hold players back. 
 
“It was a similar situation with David Barlow and Mark Bradtke. They received very lucrative offers overseas and it was in their best interests to pursue the opportunity. Patty has received a great offer and being an Olympic year we will always do what is best for him.”

Juan Carlos Navarro has signed an extension with Barcelona that will extend through 2015.

Navarro is just 14 points away from becoming the career scoring leader of the Euroleague.

Navarro was the 2008-09 Euroleague MVP, the 2010 Euroleague Final Four MVP and been named to the All-Euroleague First Team a record five times.

Ekpe Udoh, a lottery pick by the Warriors in 2010, has signed with Bnei HaSharon.

Udoh played collegiately at Baylor after transferring from Michigan.

T.J. Ford has signed to play for KK Zagreb of Croatia during the NBA lockout.

Ford will be an unrestricted free agent in the NBA, coming off a multi-year deal.

Da'Sean Butler has reportedly signed with VEF Riga of Latvia.

Butler was the 42nd overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft by the Heat, who waived him at the end of training camp.

Butler signed with the Spurs toward the end of March.

Jordan Williams, who was selected by the Nets in the 2011 NBA Draft, has signed in Poland with Zastal Zielona Gora.

Williams, who played two years at Maryland, will join Gani Lawal on the Polish team.

Justas Sinica has signed with his former team Rudupis Prienai.

During the 10-11 season, Sinica played 24 games and averaged 12.2 points.

Aaron Brooks has agreed to a one-year deal with Guandong of the Chinese Basketball Association, according to sources.

Brooks is a popular player in China due to his tenure as a teammate with Yao Ming on the Rockets.

Brooks is a restricted free agent in the NBA and therefore will be able to fulfill his contractual obligation to play in China for the entire season.

Brooks was traded to the Suns in February.

Because D-League players don't have an NBA to receive a call-up from, many are expected to look elsewhere.

Alando Tucker has signed with Gran Canaria, according to a source.

Tucker was the second overall pick in the 2011 D-League draft by the Texas Legends.

Hours after a deal with Unicaja Malaga fell through, Tiago Splitter has signed with Valencia Basket.

Splitter, who currently played for the Spurs, was a long time member of Caja Laboral.
