Bradley Beal will miss the Washington Wizards Saturday night game against the New York Knicks due to soreness in his leg.
Beal, who suffered the injury against the Pistons, had a streak of 194 consecutive games played.
Scott Brooks appeared unconcerned by the injury.
"Hopefully, he'll be back next game, but don't know that. Day-to-day from today. He feels better today.''
Bradley Beal left the Washington Wizards' 132-102 loss to the Detroit Pistons with soreness in his right lower leg.
Beal exited with just under 6 minutes left in the 3rd quarter.
Scott Brooks said Beal will be re-evaluated on Friday.
"We'll see how he feels [Friday] and evaluate it," Brooks said. "He wanted to keep playing, but the bottom line is we were down a big number, so it's wise to let him sit out the rest of the game."
The Washington Wizards have signed forward Johnathan Williams.
Williams (6-9, 228) appeared in 18 games (12 starts) for Maccabi Rishon Lezion in Israel (I-BSL) this season, averaging 11.8 points and 9.1 rebounds per game. The second-year forward totaled eight double-doubles and reached double-figures in 13 games for Rishon, most recently posting 18 points, eight rebounds and five assists vs. Nahariya on December 22.
After going undrafted in the 2018 NBA Draft, Williams signed a two-way contract with the Los Angeles Lakers, averaging 6.5 points and 4.1 rebounds in 24 games off the bench. Isaiah Thomas received a 2 game suspension for entering the stands during the Washington Wizards' 125-108 loss at the Philadelphia 76ers.
Thomas confronted two fans over obscenities and gestures late in the 4th quarter.
The two fans were suspended from all Wells Fargo Center events for 12 months.
The NBA noted that the automatic suspension is intended to prevent altercations between players and fans, and thus enforced even when a situation does not escalate.
The Philadelphia 76ers banned two fans who made obscene gestures and yelled obscenities towards Isaiah Thomas, according to Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer.
The fans were banned from the Wells Fargo Center for 12 months.
The season-ticket holder who transferred his seats to the 2 fans also had his tickets also revoked.
Thomas was ejected for confronting the fans in the stands late in the 4th quarter of the Wizards' 125-108 road loss to the Sixers.
“When I missed the first free throw and made the second, I’m running back and the fan has both of his middle fingers up and said, ‘F--- you, b----!’ three times. So then the timeout goes and I go in the stands to confront him. I say, ‘Don’t be disrespectful.’ I’m a man before anything and ‘be a fan.’ And his response was, ‘I’m sorry. I just wanted a Frosty,'" recounted Thomas of the incident.
Moe Wagner will miss at least one week with an ankle injury, according to Scott Brooks.

The Washington Wizards are close to signing Gary Payton II, league sources told Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Fred Katz of The Athletic adds that the Wizards will not have to waive anyone to sign Payton. The team received a hardship exception, allowing them to carry 16 players on their roster.
Payton signed a 10-day contract with the Wizards last January.
The Washington Wizards have yet to make a decision on whether John Wall will miss the entire 19-20 season.
Wall is recovering from a torn Achilles suffered last January.
“It’s not like we’re shutting him down and focusing on the 20-21 season," said Scott Brooks.
"It’s going to happen organically. What I like is what he’s doing, he’s getting after every workout.”
Rui Hachimura suffered a groin injury late in the first half of the Washington Wizards' 133-119 win at Detroit.
