Calipari Thinks Evans, Wall Could Co-Exist

May 8, 2010 4:21 PM

Kentucky coach John Calipari believes that the Kings would have some success with a backcourt tandem of Tyreke Evans and John Wall.

Calipari coached Evans, the reigning Rookie of the Year, at Memphis and had Wall at Kentucky.

Wall is the consensus top pick in June's NBA Draft. Sacramento had the third-worst record in the league this season, giving them a decent shot at the No. 1 selection.

"They're not the prototypical point guards, but they're both point guards with their ability to make plays," Calipari said of Evans and Wall. "Defensively, (the Kings  are) much better; offensively, (they're) much better. You can get easy goals."
