Paul's Gold Will Go With Memories Of Grandfather

Aug 29, 2008 11:13 AM

Chris Paul plans to put the gold medal he won in Beijing this month next to memories he has of his grandfather, according to Sun Herald.

"I still have the basketball in a frame back home when I scored 61 points," Paul said. "This medal will go somewhere next to that."

His 61-point performance came in high school, shortly after the murder of his grandfather Nathaniel Jones.

Paul is already planting the seed to return to Team USA in London.

"We want to defend it," he said. "It was so much fun. All of us were talking in the locker room afterward about (how) we've got to get back together in 2012."

Jannero Pargo has become the latest player to choose Europe over the NBA, signing a one-year deal with Moscow Dynamo worth $3.8 million, according to Yahoo! Sports.

Could Pargo Sign With The Spurs?

Aug 5, 2008 10:18 AM

There seems to be a chance that free agent point guard Jannero Pargo could end up leaving the Hornets for the Spurs this summer, according to The San Antonio Express-News.

One rumor circulating around a Western Conference front office on Monday afternoon was that Pargo had already, or was about to, agree to a deal with the Spurs.

However, Pargo's agent Mark Bartelstein acknowledged talks with the Spurs but said his client has yet to agree to a deal with anyone.

"The Spurs speak for themselves," Bartelstein said. "It's a great place to play. They are limited in what they can do financially, but we are definitely talking to them."
